Our stainless-steel braces may seem “traditional,” but they aren’t as bulky and flashy as in the past. They are smaller and effective and are a great option for patients. Ceramic braces are less noticeable, but require more maintenance to keep them that way, as the clear brackets blend in with the teeth. The least noticeable option is our Essix Aligners, which are custom-fit clear plastic aligners that are virtually undetectable when worn over the teeth. Patients who suffer from dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) can find relief with orthodontic appliances. A TMJ splint fits over your upper and low arch of teeth, similar to a nightguard, and stabilizes the joint into proper positioning. Generally, these splints are worn at night and can help combat unconscious grinding (bruxism) and damage. Our splints are custom-created to fit your mouth, ensuring a comfortable treatment. While wearing the splint, your jaw can relax, reducing tension and stress on the joint and muscles, relieving some of the discomforts of TMJ dysfunction.

Crossbites, overcrowding, and impactions can happen when children’s jaws aren’t quite ready to support their adult set of teeth. We’ll help your child’s permanent teeth take shape with palatal expanders, which ensure the proper room for growth and development of new teeth. We’ll work with you and your child to determine the appropriate amount of expansion and create a treatment plan that is comfortable and effective. While palatal expanders may not eliminate the need for braces in the future, they can significantly decrease jaw and crowding problems.
