Straight, Beautiful Smiles for Anaheim Hills

Orthodontic therapy isn’t just about straightening your smile. From fixing bite problems to helping ensure your children’s teeth develop into healthy adult smiles, our orthodontic care does more than just provide straighter teeth – though that is a nice benefit! If your teeth are overcrowded or crooked, they are harder to take care of on your own. Your daily hygiene routine may not be as effective at removing debris, which can lead to complications later. At Darren Chu DDS, we provide orthodontic care for patients of all ages, including children.

We’ll thoroughly review your situation and determine the most appropriate orthodontic option for your smile. Whether you need braces to correct your smile or seek relief from TMJ discomfort, rest assured that we offer the highest quality orthodontic devices that are effective and comfortable. We want you to have the best smile, both in function and appearance, and our orthodontic care does just that, in as little time as possible. Don’t be self-conscious about your smile any longer. Ask us about our orthodontic services at your next visit to our Anaheim Hills office.

Types of Braces

Types of Braces

We offer three different variety of braces to straighten and align your teeth, creating a perfect aesthetic when you smile. Choose between traditional stainless steel, ceramic, or clear aligners, and get the smile you’ve always wanted. Our stainless-steel braces may seem “traditional,” but they aren’t as bulky and flashy as in the past. They are smaller and effective and are a great option for patients. Ceramic braces are less noticeable, but require more maintenance to keep them that way, as the clear brackets blend in with the teeth. The least noticeable option is our Essix Aligners, which are custom-fit clear plastic aligners that are virtually undetectable when worn over the teeth. Our team will help you determine the right type of braces for your smile and lifestyle, while providing optimal results in the shortest time.

Patients who suffer from dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) can find relief with orthodontic appliances. A TMJ splint fits over your upper and low arch of teeth, similar to a nightguard, and stabilizes the joint into proper positioning. Generally, these splints are worn at night and can help combat unconscious grinding (bruxism) and damage. Our splints are custom-created to fit your mouth, ensuring a comfortable treatment. While wearing the splint, your jaw can relax, reducing tension and stress on the joint and muscles, relieving some of the discomforts of TMJ dysfunction.

For Kids

For Kids

Crossbites, overcrowding, and impactions can happen when children’s jaws aren’t quite ready to support their adult set of teeth. We’ll help your child’s permanent teeth take shape with palatal expanders, which ensure the proper room for growth and development of new teeth. We’ll work with you and your child to determine the appropriate amount of expansion and create a treatment plan that is comfortable and effective. While palatal expanders may not eliminate the need for braces in the future, they can significantly decrease jaw and crowding problems. We’re happy to help your child develop a beautiful, natural adult smile.
